I am not one of them. I have, as a hiker and quick- meal-at-the-construction-job-site person, choked down some fairly awful cans of plain sardines on crackers. I haven’t tried every brand out there, but Fishwife hasn’t disappointed. i tried them after reading a review on NYT Wirecutter so for a more erudite description of these, I recommend their take on canned fish. I will say, however, the heat from the crushed red pepper is not overwhelming and provides a good flavor to the naturally oily Mackerel. They are truly good straight from the can, on a cracker, or with a bit of cooked rice. I bought the subscription to these as they are a better deal in this form.
