This smaller low profile wind-powered rotary roof ventilator for vans provides ventilation for vans, buses, ambulances, 4x4s, boats, dog vans and buildings. This van roof vent has been designed to protrude a maximum of 59.5mm above the vehicle's roof and low enough to fit under most roof mounted carrying racks, the 8 vaned air scoop rotates freely while the vehicle is in motion drawing out stale air. This rotary roof vent is the perfect solution for ventilating your van. This is the BLACK version but it is also available in white. PLEASE NOTE: This is a smaller size vent. Please check the dimensions before ordering, especially if your van roof is not flat. Review: Low height roof vent - This was a replacement as I've just put a roof rack on and my Flettner vent sits proud. Cost , good value was concerned as it was half the price of my Flettner ....which is the gold standard for vents (in my opinion) Bought this as the fit was the same diameter cutout of the existing hole. The unit was easy to fit.....required only one bolt to be tightened to secure to roof Spinner is preset so spinning resistance cannot be adjusted....it spins freely with no bearing grumble.....was impressed with this. Have seen some reviews stating it rotates poorly......all roof vent i have used are like this until they have had a few weeks to bed in. The only thing thats missing is guidance to paint the cutout with a rust type treatment so you don't get a rusty roof Good quality plastic, freely rotates with no friction easy to fit. The roof vent is fitted to reduce condensation. Would recommend as its good value for money

**Q: I have a Ford Transit Custom....where would the optimal position be on the roof please?**
A: I believe the way it works is by sucking out the stale air, so towards the back of the roof, centrally, should be optimal with the air flowing into the van from vents and windows.

**Q: Does the vent only extract when there is outside air movement or can it still act as a vent whenever van is stationery**
A: It does spin when stationary, if there's at least a breeze.

**Q: Does this still ventilate, at all, when static?**
A: It may do slightly, but if the car is stationary the vent will still rotate in a breeze.

**Q: 4” hole already in Transit Roof, would this be suitable for this item?**
A: It requires a hole cut-out of 80mm, so 4" may be too large.

This was a replacement as I've just put a roof rack on and my Flettner vent sits proud. Cost , good value was concerned as it was half the price of my Flettner ....which is the gold standard for vents (in my opinion) Bought this as the fit was the same diameter cutout of the existing hole. The unit was easy to fit.....required only one bolt to be tightened to secure to roof Spinner is preset so spinning resistance cannot be adjusted....it spins freely with no bearing grumble.....was impressed with this.
