With individual pocket springs for support, a waterproof layer for hygiene, and a firm edge for safety, this mattress is expertly manufactured in the UK to meet current British standards. ## Description Product Description Spacer technology was originally developed for NASA to provide pressure relief and temperature regulation in fabrics. The airspace pocket spring mattress has been developed to utilise this technology by adding it to a technical spacer fabric removable topper which absorbs, stores and releases heat to regulate the skins microclimate. As the skin gets hot, the heat is absorbed and, as it cools, the heat is released providing a constant sleeping temperature. The topper also incorporates Silver-Ion Anti-Allergy protection that helps to prevent bacterial and fungal growth and controls odours and it can be removed and washed at 60oC. A waterproof layer has been included to aid hygiene by keeping the core of the mattress clean and dry. The reverse of the mattress features a hard wearing fabric that is also suitable for baby to sleep on if required. At the core of the mattress individual pocketed springs move independently to provide whole body support and additional layers of polyester wadding are soft and comfortable. This mattress is fully breathable and it provides a comfortable, clean, dry, warm sleeping environment for baby. The mattress meets all current British standards.
