Review: Tap into a good deal! - I picked up this fuse tap kit to add a few accessories to my vehicle without cutting into the factory wiring, and it’s been a solid purchase overall. The variety you get in this pack is one of the biggest. It comes with multiple fuse types (mini, low-profile mini, standard, etc.), so chances are it’ll fit whatever vehicle you’re working on. That saved me from having to guess or make a second trip to the store. The wires feel decent quality—not super heavy-duty, but definitely good enough for typical add-ons like dash cams, LED lights, or a phone charger. Installation was straightforward. If you’ve ever used an add-a-circuit before, this is exactly what you expect: plug it into the fuse slot, add your original fuse plus a new one for your accessory, and you’re good to go. The connectors crimped well and held tight, which is something I always worry about with kits like this. A couple minor downsides: the included fuses are okay, but I’d still recommend using higher-quality ones if you’re powering something important. Also, the wire gauge might be a bit light for higher-draw accessories, so just keep that in mind and don’t push it beyond what it’s meant for. The fuses on the other hand seem to fall apart almost instantly if you insert them and need to pull a fuse out for any reason. These taps are extremely tight fitting so a fuse is really wedged in and requires extra force to take out. These fuses come apart and break far to easily when pulling them out. So if you are doing a wiring job and you may need to move things around a bit, I would plan to have some quality fuses in hand. The crimp on the end of the tap wire seems to work fine with the few I tested. If your unhappy with that crimp connector, just cut it off, strip the wire end, and use whatever you prefer. There are plenty of sellers that seem to be selling the exact same taps on here, just some include more or less. This particular listing was priced right, included a nice assortment, and has already done a few jobs I have been waiting to do and are holding up well.
