MBT Men's Tembea Casual Shoe

I have been wearing these shoes about 7 months now and have been very happy with them. They are well made and have held up. I bought them to wear on a trip to Africa with a lot of walking. I have had plantar fasciitis on the right and a tib-fib fracture on the left with ankle pain. These shoes have been very comfortable. They do require some "breaking in". Not because they are stiff but because the balance is different. They are like wearing ski boots at first. You have to get used to how they change your balance (for the better). So I wore them for several hours at a time until I got used to them. I did slip once when I walked on a slick surface and reflexly leaned backwards. Just like with skis, I fell on my bottom. I learned to stay forward and haven't fallen since. After you wear these for a while, you start walking on the middle of your foot. You can walk very quickly and comfortably. They do work your calves and buttocks. I used to have trouble getting out of the passenger seat of my wife's convertible. I felt like an old person having to pull myself out. Now it is much easier to get out. I assume these shoes have gotten my legs stronger. I would highly recommend them. They are casual. I asked my wife if I could wear them to work and she said, "No, too casual". So I purchased another pair that are brown leather from the same manufacturer (MBT). I just couldn't go back to the Rockports. They were comfortable but not like these shoes. Definitely worth the money.

The shoe is a little snug in the toe box but I believe that it will stretch a little and fit just fine. MBT boots and shoes are meticulously designed and manufactured. Just take some getting used to because walking on the rocker platform takes some getting used to. I like them because I have Plantar Fasciitis and it helps to alleviate stress and pain in the heel.

I've been wearing nothing but MBT's since I first tried them. I had surgery on my knee a few years ago and find that most regular shoes result in my slamming my heel down first when I walk, making the knee progressively more tender. With the MBT's this isn't possible. i don't think it's doing anything for the shape of my legs, as advertised, but it sure is a relief on the knees! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the soles wear awy fairly rapidly compared to other shoes. The first time I encountered this phenomenon I figured it was because I was wearing the same shoe, day in and day out. Then I bought another pair and alternated. The new pair wore down fairly quickly. So this time I bought 3 pairs. We'll see.

MBT shoes are good ad healthy BUT my item "BLACK" has an issue with the right shoe as it is more soft than the left one and has a longer shoelace than the left one also.

This is my second pair of Tembeas, and my third pair of MBTs where I had to do some work to get it to fit right. I'm assuming it's something about my feet, but three times now it's been agony on the left shoe, down at the front on the last lace loop on the right. But I discovered I could fix it by pushing out the leather to make more room. The way I do it is by inserting a wooden shoe stretcher into the shoe, then stuffing some rubbing alcohol drenched paper towel up into that one spot (this is to soften the leather so that it can stretch better), then wedging a couple of small ball bearings in between. I then leave it overnight and the next day the leather has stretched just enough. And then these MBTs are the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned.

Size length completely different to last MBT shoe purchased by 1 inch and different to the Standard US shoe size of other shoes we have. Shoe received was 8.5 which appears to span both 8 and 8.5. Disappointing as great design shoe that we wanted to alleviate pressure on broken heels.

I have very bad feet. Fallen arches and when I walk all day my feet are usually "killing" me. Not with these shoes. When I wear these, even all day walking at the State Fair of Texas, my feet feel great at the end of the day. A lifesaver.

Loves his shoes. My husband has a bad back and he is on his feet 12 hrs a day. He swears by these shoes and they are the only ones that are comfortable for him to wear all day. He has no back pain when he wears them! Thank you!!!!
