The problem with most energy saving LED lights, is that they are also getting more and more powerful, the more energy saving they become.The 3W LEDs are powerful enough, without lighting up the whole street when turning on the lights in our little living room. The A++ energy rating also reflects on our energy meter, which doesn't seem to be going down so fast since changing to these bulbs.Would definitely recommend! ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars ... with the down lights a bit too bright and painful in the bathroom *by M***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 September 2017* My wife found the 5W leds that came with the down lights a bit too bright and painful in the bathroom. These produce a reasonable amount of light that is warm and delivered at a wider angle than a pure spotlight. A bit more like an older bulb would give. You can however see the individual spots of the leds if you directly look at it, which I quite like, some may prefer a central led cluster that looks like one source. Good value supposing they last, time will tell !UPDATE: Very sadly four of these bulbs have now failed in less than six months, first they start to flicker, then either go very dim or fail altogether. Down rated the product from 5 stars to 1 purely on reliability. Not even going to ask for replacements as I fear they too will be unreliable. Bought some very expensive Philips bulbs as an alternative.
