I’m just a singer/songwriter kinda guy and wanted something that would allow me to record my guitar using my DAW. Worked seamlessly using Windows 7. It took a few minutes to download the drivers, which the Roland Cable did w/o having me do more than plug it into my computer...pretty much plug n play. No Audio interface required! Love this thing. I can’t speak to durability yet, it appears sturdy enough, and is well within range of most folks as far as price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my old mac had an audio in. my new one doesn't *by C***I on Reviewed in the United States on 8 May 2021* let me start out by saying I saw one star reviews for this saying it doesn't work with garageband. Let me state, that is solely why I purchased this. My old imac had an audio in. My new imac has a headphone jack that can also work as an audio in... for a TRRS cable mic. Otherwise, when you plug in a mono line in, it thinks it's headphones and you can't record your signal. This USB cable was immediately detected by my imac and was very easy to set up to record with garageband. You just need to go to the system preferences, then sound settings and for input select the usb device. Then do the same thing when adding a track in garageband.
