I knew the minute I picked the oversized box off my porch that some or all of the 4 jars were in pieces. 1 out of the 4 ordered was salvageable. The rest were completely shattered or cracked in half. They item it self seems to of good quality but the way they were packed was terrible. I wander across creation in my job; nevertheless, when harvest is through, the organic goods I put into my Ball jars are always fresh enough to keep my work lively and spirited. Reinvigorated, even.Superior balance! I stupidly left some empty jars on the riser at work. Even after being cranked up into the wind, they didn’t budge an inch. Which reminds me—they’re poor electrical conductors, as well. Bonus!Sharp-looking! The office is packed full of conical flasks, volumetric glassware, and every kind of beaker imaginable, so aesthetics turns out to be a priority. When I see shelf upon shelf of labelled jars, categorized and polished, reflecting the moonlight behind my boss’ excited face as he makes a breakthrough, it’s downright cinematic (even in black and white).Unfortunately, these jars tend to be a tad oversized. Bear in mind, I have a medical condition (untreated hyperkyphosis), but the 32-ounce jars just get awfully heavy when filled. Try the 24-ounce alternative. They carry less weight, but are still big enough to hold most anything life throws at you.Very durable! One day, a particularly clumsy colleague got spooked when the organ music kicked in extra loud. Of course, JUST THEN he was lumbering past a few jars and knocked them off the table. Amazingly, all three survived, even after hitting the stone floor. Meanwhile, ol’ Beanpole didn’t even apologize afterwards.
