## Description

Struwwelpeter (auch Der Struwwelpeter) ist der Titel eines Werkes des Frankfurter Arztes und Psychiaters Heinrich Hoffmann aus dem Jahr 1844 und zugleich die Titelfigur des Buches. Das seit 1845 gedruckte Bilderbuch enthält mehrere Geschichten, in denen oft Kinder nach unvorsichtigem Verhalten drastische Folgen erleiden, die von einem Sturz ins Wasser bis zum Tod reichen. Der Struwwelpeter gehört zu den erfolgreichsten deutschen Kinderbüchern und wurde in zahlreiche Sprachen übersetzt. Die vielen Adaptionen werden Struwwelpet(e)riaden genannt. Den Geschichten des Struwwelpeters warf man in den 1970er und 80er Jahren einen autoritären Erziehungsstil und Schwarze Pädagogik vor.

I had this book as a child sent from Germany from my Oma, but it was lost many years ago. I saw it on Amazon and had to buy it. It's is well illustrated and bought back so many memories from my childhood love it.

I had pretty low expectations for this because I saw a review saying the quality was pretty bad and it was like they printed it on regular printer paper. Definitely not the case for mine, I would just say, you should always check and verify the seller you’re buying from as one page for an item can link to multiple sellers. This was a really awesome find and I’m super great full to the seller that I got this in time for Christmas. I can’t comment on the contents being the same as you might remember from your childhood as it’s a gift for my mom, but It’s definitely as described by her.
