I first noticed the impressive list of ingredients and had high hopes when it arrived. However, after cleansing my face and applying this moisturizer, I was completely taken aback by a very strange and intense prickling sensation all over my face as soon as I began rubbing it in. I initially thought I was having a severe reaction, but it turns out this sensation is normal for this product. I honestly had no idea what "spicule" meant in the context of this cream and thought it was just a new anti-aging ingredient. The prickling lasted for about 30 seconds to a minute as the moisturizer dried and seeped into my skin. My face was quite red for about 10 minutes afterward, which is why this is marketed as a nighttime cream—I would never use this during the day due to the initial irritation. When I woke up in the morning, any redness had disappeared and my skin felt quite moisturized. I'm on the fence about this product because the prickling sensation is new to me and might take some getting used to.
