Perfect if you have rips and tears in books, documents, maps - pretty much any papery thing! How does it work? This is a self-adhesive, very lightweight (20gsm) acid-free paper. The adhesive side is backed with a removable silicone paper to make application extremely simple. Remove the silicone backing paper - this is the trickiest part of the operation and it might take a little bit of time to tease the tape away from its silicone backing paper to reveal the tape which is extremely thin and transparent. Apply it to the damaged/torn area then smooth it with (preferably a bone folder or similar) and this will remove any air bubbles, if done carefully you can create an almost invisible repair. Be aware that with some papers, especially glossy and vintage the tape can be quite visible. NB Photographic instructions can be found on our Vintage Paper Co website Why is this the best product to mend my book/document? This tape is acid-free and very lightweight, it is probably the most widely used repair tape used by book repair specialists and in libraries and museums. This means that unlike normal off-the-shelf tapes like sellotape or other self-adhesive tapes it will not go yellow and brittle and fall off and it is very easy to apply. Other side effects of using acidic products are that the acids from these items can seep into the material you are trying to mend and cause further and often irreversible damage. It is a much friendlier and longer lasting product than standard adhesive tapes. ## Features - Repair tape for paper. book pages, documents and maps - Acid Free - will not yellow and crack, a zillion times better than sticky tape - Professional product - used in libraries and museums - Easy to use and long lasting - Free delivery to the UK & BFPO ## Images ![Filmoplast P - 'Invisible' Repair Tape for Book Pages, Papers and documents - 5 Meters Long x 20mm Wide - Image 1](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81l27dhH6rL.jpg) ![Filmoplast P - 'Invisible' Repair Tape for Book Pages, Papers and documents - 5 Meters Long x 20mm Wide - Image 2](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81cB5RAkpVL.jpg) ![Filmoplast P - 'Invisible' Repair Tape for Book Pages, Papers and documents - 5 Meters Long x 20mm Wide - Image 3](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/812RubGBOVL.jpg) ![Filmoplast P - 'Invisible' Repair Tape for Book Pages, Papers and documents - 5 Meters Long x 20mm Wide - Image 4](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81rcKBRLlIL.jpg) ![Filmoplast P - 'Invisible' Repair Tape for Book Pages, Papers and documents - 5 Meters Long x 20mm Wide - Image 5](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/811WX%2BaZPVL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bible page repair tape *by C***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 September 2014* This is extremely fine repair tape, so it adds little to the 'weight' of the paper page. I've needed to use it to repair several pages in my 'everyday' bible that had been damaged whilst I was travelling. Text can be read through the tape so it doesn't matter if tear has affected words. There is a warning from the seller that it can be difficult to separate the tape from its protective backing - I was really glad of that advance warning because it was challenging at times. You need patience and good fingernails to find a starting edge, then after that it's a doddle! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great prduct. *by J***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2018* repaired my grandsons book. Also made a great repair on an antquarian book of my daughters ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very useful tape *by D***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2017* Excellent item.Thankfully useful website, as instructions needed to remove tape backing! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/61186628-filmoplast-p-invisible-repair-tape-for-book-pages-papers-documents](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/61186628-filmoplast-p-invisible-repair-tape-for-book-pages-papers-documents) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
