It's amazingly warm for how lightweight & thin it is. I work in an office that tends to be freezing all the time, I put this on, and I actually get hot in 5 or 10 minutes. Since the weather is still warm outside where I live, I haven't had much of a chance to wear it outside but I'm confident this will be enough for fall and perhaps through the winter months (I'm in the SouthWest).The color I chose was taupe and that was perfect. It's kind of a light golden brown. The material feels water and stain resistant. I also have a lot of pets and pet hairs DO NOT get on this at all. Honestly, that's enough to make me love it right there. I have been wearing it for a week and it still looks brand new. It's obviously not going to need a lot of care.The materials are100% nylon for the shell & lining. The insulation is 90% down & 10% feather. This can go in a gentle cold wash in the washer and a tumble dry in the dryer. The outer part feels abnormally soft to the touch for nylon. This jacket is so incredibly comfortable. I think I would normally take a US Medium and I got a Large here. It's a little loose but that's how I like it to fit, especially for a jacket. So, you might consider getting one size up. It is puffy style but it's not that puffy. It has pockets with zippers on the outer side pockets and inside pockets as well. I really love this jacket and would highly recommend. You won't be disappointed, these are made very well. I bought this jacket specifically to be worn when it is between about 45-58 degrees outside, when it is too warm for my heavy winter coats and too cool for a light jacket.) I wore this new jacket today for the first time when it was about 56 degrees and VERY blustery. To my amazement and delight, despite the strong winds, this jacket kept me comfortably warm. (I wore it over a 3/4 sleeve medium-weight cotton sweater). Not only is this jacket incredibly lightweight, it is very attractive and the fit is flattering. The color (pine green) is even prettier than it is depicted.
