I'm 6'5" - 265lbs. I've never ordered extra wide boots and have been using the boondocks for years. This particular boot, the sole, and more specifically the red vibram wings (circled in one photo) used to create what I call a "foot bed" on the sole of the boot, are too narrow. They apply too much pressure to the outside bottom of my feet in both boots. Based on the build of this sole, it is NOT something that will eventually 'wear down'. It's just narrow enough that the pressure is applied via the upper outside edge of your insert. Not sure if I got two pairs made too narrow? These boots would be very comfortable, but they're just too narrow and I'm afraid the extra wide will be too wide. Great build quality and foot protection as expected, but simply too narrow.
