The double-sided brush does an excellent job with both deshedding and detangling, especially on thick coats. It removes loose fur without pulling or hurting my dog, and it even helps bring out a nice shine in the coat. The grooming gloves are great for quick touch-ups and work well for pets who don’t love brushing.I also love how easy it is to clean — hair comes right off the brush and gloves with no hassle. The rake works great! It also removed an unbelievable amount of the undercoat hair. I could not believe how much hair it took out. Now there is hardly any hair floating around my wooden floors!My cat had a couple of matted areas. The rake did not remove them. However, it loosened them enough for me to cut them out. It did pull on the knots which my cat was not happy about. He is a bit of a biter when he is mad. So this made brushing him a bit of a challenge. I had to hold the knot so it did not pull then brush it out. I learned quick to use the gloves to protect my hands and to soothe him while brushing him. He does love the gloves!!The gloves are on the smaller side. Luckily my hands are small and they fit me perfectly. If your hands are bigger, they may not fit. While lying flat, they measure 4 1/2”wide across the knuckle area and 7” from wrist the tip of middle finger. Wrist opening around is 6 1/4” wait Velcro closure so, it can go a bit wider if needed. I don’t know if bigger sizes are an option.Over all, my cat’s fur is shinier, softer and is shedding so much less!
