First off, it was invented by a Type 1 (insulin dependent) diabetic, so he knows what it is to experience hypoglycemia---the panic and confusion that can result when the brain has too little blood glucose to function fully.These packets are so very easy to rip open, it's great. Being a Type 1 diabetic for 53 years, since age 7, I can tell you how very many times I have had lots of difficulty opening hard plastic bottles of glucose drink that are made by other manufacturers. The plastic wrap can be difficult to tear off, the hard plastic bottles can be very hard to open, and, worst of all, the inner seal can be impossible to lift off the hard plastic bottle of glucose drink. At this point, when your glucose is low, you do not have good aim or coordination, but you need to take a paring knife and poke a large hole in the seal of the glucose drink to get at the glucose you need for fast action. This is scary and difficult when your blood sugar is low, 60mg/L or less. Well, Level Life has solved that dangerous problem with a heavy foil wrapped pack that fits easily and comfortably into your pocket. You just tear the packet open very easily, put the packet to your mouth and squeeze in 15g of dextrose.
