A: I have not had this problem at all. Mine is also on a mat, sometimes I have mine on for 8-10 hours with no problem. I really like my surebonder and the round shape. Can’t say anything bad about it. I bought it a good 6 months ago.

**Q: Does this glue last outside in winter?**
A: I always use a combination of glue on anything I make for outdoors as I live in a four season region.  I use this and E6000 glue and I don't have any issues.   Hope this helps.

**Q: How accurate does this skillet hold a specific temperature?  Looking for something to hold 145 degrees constant.**
