For this particular product the opacity is Light Filtering/Semi Sheer at 3%. Opacity refers to how tight the fabric is woven together. 3% will block more sun and deliver a higher level of privacy and will allow less view through. Each shade has a matching corded continuous loop that can be mounted to the side of the inner window casing for not only a seemless design but as well as providing a safety precaution. The composition of this fabric is 78% PVC and 22% Polyester in a basket weave woven pattern and is meant for indoor use only. MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS: Please DO NOT use the measurements of a shade that needs replacing. Instead, please read our measuring instructions located in our photos. Our shades are recommended for window casings that are at least 1" deep. The cassette (decorative piece that covers the top of the shade is 3" tall.
