The Air Injection Iron, Sulfur, and Manganese Removal System by American Water Solutions features a Fleck 2510 SXT control valve and high flow Filter Ag Plus media that halves backwash time. This single-tank, salt- and chemical-free system oxidizes and filters iron (up to 7 ppm), manganese, and hydrogen sulfide (up to 4 ppm) efficiently. Equipped with a stainless steel bypass and assembled in the USA, it offers automated daily backwashing for low maintenance and reliable performance.

## Description

The Air Plus Iron Filter system below works with wells with submersible and jet pumps SALT AND CHEMICAL FREE!The Air Plus Air Injection Oxidizing Filter System, as a single tank system, is an efficient and cost effective system for the removal of iron and sulphur. The Air Plus maintains an “air pocket” in the top of the tank while the system is in service. As the water passes thru the air pocket, iron and sulphur are oxidized. Additionally, dissolved oxygen is added to the water. The filter media bed then removes the iron and sulphur from the water.The Air Plus can remove up to 4 ppm Hydrogen Sulfide and up to 7 ppm Iron. A daily backwash will remove accumulated iron and replenish the filter media bed. The regeneration process also adds a fresh air pocket to the system.The Air Plus system comes equipped with a Fleck 2510 SXT air injection control head that automatically back washes the system daily to clean the media and flush everything down the drain.The Air Plus is able to put the whole oxidation process inside one tank, keeping maintenance costs and down time to a minimum. The systems include by-pass valve, Structural mineral tank and all necessary media and support bed for individual application.

It was difficult finding someone to install it, I'm not a plumber and don't have the tools to do it myself. The first three plumbers we asked weren't familiar with this system and they just tried to sell us their $4,000 softener systems instead. We finally found someone who would install it and we are very satisfied. It works well and now we can drink our tap water, shower without the smell of sulpher, and we don't get iron stains around the drains. Well worth the price.

We have manganese, iron and a strong sulpher smell in our well water. After changing the anode in the water heater, the problem persisted, so I bought this unit based on research and reviews. It was difficult finding someone to install it, I'm not a plumber and don't have the tools to do it myself. The first three plumbers we asked weren't familiar with this system and they just tried to sell us their $4,000 softener systems instead. We finally found someone who would install it and we are very satisfied. It works well and now we can drink our tap water, shower without the smell of sulpher, and we don't get iron stains around the drains. Well worth the price.

I live on a lake and the well water is very Iron laden. Hooked up this water filter system myself, plumbing was challenging but not overwhelming. Has been in operation for about a year and works great. I’m hoping the filter media lasts for a long time as it looks tricky to change it, and I believe they recommend replacing valve seals so that will also be an interesting future challenge. Overall, very good product so far!
