### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loss

My beloved cat companion of 12 years was put down due to very advanced cancer. I found myself feeling guilt and pain from her sufferings. I was supposed to feel better that she does not feel any pain now. Instead, my mind refused to believe that she was not suffering anymore. Also, people around me made it even harder for me. One friend, cat owner herself, stopped seeing me after I tell her, with tears in my eyes, about it. Others started rubbing into my face on FB how happy and healthy their cats are, and made me even more sad about my poor baby passing. Someone decided to bring fostered kittens to the house and asked if I like to adapt? It was cruel as it only made me cry more and feel bad that these kittens, however cute they are, not the baby I lost and cannot replace her! While my companion of 12 years is still dead, and I cannot get her back! I cannot just transfer my affection and love to some new pet, and forget about my sweet dead baby. I do not need to replace her like getting a new toy for my own selfish reason in loneliness. It is not what makes me sad, it is her dieing and suffering that still makes me feel pain. Seeking some support with my grief also did not work. A few support groups or professionals told me coldly that they do not do that anymore. This book is the only thing that helps me to feel better! Here I found other like-minded people who been ln the same situation. Some practical advice and understanding. This is a really helpful book. Thank you for writing it!
