They're very comfortable without any 'breaking in' time. That may be due to the fact that they're slightly larger than my other 8.5 heels. The extra space is in the heel area which means my feet periodically slip out of the shoes. However, on hot days, or when I don't wear nylons with them, they fit fine and leave space for the swelling of my feet that invariably happens in hot weather.
