No winding needed - haha. Keeps perfect time over the past 4 months. Switched out the crappy bracelet for a nice leather strap though. This is a great watch for the money, seriously. I added a pic as the images you see show the watch as a vibrant green which i think makes it look cheap. Keeps very accurate time. Since I set it the first time, I have not had to reset it. I like that it's a bit heavy and doesn't feel cheap. The only downside I've found is that the finish on the bracelet rubs off fairly easily. Since the bracelet is silver in color, the wear is not very noticeable. A two-toned bracelet might show the wear more readily.
