I had a recurrent UTI so it was helpful for awhile and now that I'm trying to reuse it again after 3 months, I found out the test strips looked weird again even though they've been sealed well... Then I saw on the bottle that after it's opened, it's only good for 3 months 😔 I wonder why they don't just sell them individually packaged so that unused ones can stay unopened and have the normal 2 year shelf life. I have wasted more than half of the bottle! Won't purchase again and now that I've learned my lesson, I just bought one that comes individually sealed.

The chemical reaction that takes place, in order for it to be accurate, requires that the urine be in the bladder for at least an hour. So for people drinking a lot of water, that test might be positive but show up negative. If you have symptoms, see your doctor

**Q: How can you detect ph lower than 5, when the chart only goes 5 and up? What color would signify lower than 5?**
A: Hello, it would be almost impossible to get a urine pH of below 5. The urine ph test strips can measure only down to this level.

**Q: What if it changes colors after like 20 minutes? Are those results still reliable?**
A: As the color pads on the UTI test strips dry out, they will naturally get darker. Any color after 2 minutes is invalid. Please disregard all readings after 2 minutes.

When I bought this the first time, I accidentally left it open after using it (it was about a week after purchase) so all the test strips were showing errors so I had to buy the second bottle and I liked it while using it. I had a recurrent UTI so it was helpful for awhile and now that I'm trying to reuse it again after 3 months, I found out the test strips looked weird again even though they've been sealed well... Then I saw on the bottle that after it's opened, it's only good for 3 months 😔 I wonder why they don't just sell them individually packaged so that unused ones can stay unopened and have the normal 2 year shelf life. Now that I'm in my 70's, I'm learning first-hand that older women are at increased risk for UTI's. Despite being very careful, I recently developed an infection and began antibiotics. I really wanted the ability to check my urine myself and found that these teststrips were available. The day after I completed antibiotics, I was able to verify that my infection had fully cleared (grateful!). The teststrips are very easy to use and interpret, though I peed into a cup and dipped the strip instead of trying to hold it in my stream. I had the results in 60 seconds.
