It is one of the lower end model from Vortex that is sourced from China, but it works. There are other more affordable, identical options though. **Q: Will this provide enough clearance to mount a 50mm objective NightForce Scope on top of an AR15 ?** A: I have the 1.5" version of this in top of an AR10 (similar mount) and it's too low to clear my 50mm objective crossfire. You want this one. I'll post again after I get it mounted, but I only need another .25" so I'm confident this will resolve my problem. **Q: How sturdy is this mount with a scope on it is it very secure?** A: The mount is very sturdy. I use it with a Nikon P-300 mounted on a 300BLK rifle. I've never had any problems. Make sure to use locktite on screws. **Q: Will this work for a left hand ar set up??** A: Yes. And on another review I'll say the same thing about the VORTEX scope I bought with the mount. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by M***S on 19 April 2016* Vortex Cantilever Mount - This is a great mount. Arrived the next day. I wish I would have spent more time investigating the size. This is my first cantilever mount and I simply didn't think about mounting height as I normally would when mounting a scope. It just slipped my mind. I turns out the line of sight is too high and I'll have to get lower mounts. Don't want to shim up the cheek weld. The new mounts will be from Vortex and I will use this cantilever mount on another project. Also, I ordered this mount from another on line retailer and the day after I placed the order, they sent me an email saying they were out of stock. I was in a hurry to finish the build and quickly ordered this one to fit a Vortex Strike Eagle (nice) but didn't notice it was a 1" and not a 30mm mount. With the project on the bench and learning of my mistake, I drove over to the Vortex HQ (same town) and with my receipt, they swapped out the 1" for the proper 30mm.
