I wouldn't be surprised if it blocked the NSA malware and snooping activities as well. The code is tight and fast resulting in super fast scans, false positives are extremely rare, and I've yet to see a malware penetrate Webroot. The best part is the small footprint both in memory and on the hard drive. Previously I loved Prevx v3.0, but WRSA is the next generation, designed by the same key team members as Prevx (post company merger). As a consultant, I often use WRSA to find malware after a client failed to find them with other "popular and competing a/v packages". You can fill in the blank. ;-) Having the latest competitor's virus definitions is no longer a benefit. Lastly, unlike competitors, when one has a solid suggestion or bug report, often the WRSA team will fix it within hours/days unlike the competition which MAY look at the problem months later if at all (I speak from years of such experience as a software engineer, IT consultant and contributor). ### ⭐ Cheated by Amazon *by J***R on July 29, 2013* I feel I was cheated. You will see from my order history I bought a download version of this product as well. I did this because I received a message that the delivery of my disk order had been turned around mid-delivery and returned to the sender. I think it was because I had left instructions for USPS to forward my mail to WA from CA beginning on the day it was to be delivered. I did not know that the order was to be delivered USPS, and I had received some recent orders by UPS. No problem, I just ordered the download copy (my second order). What I was NOT told was that Amazon (or USPS--I am not sure) went ahead and delivered my order to my second address in WA. When I arrived in WA, there it was. I downloaded a permit to return the product, sent it in, and received an email rejecting my refund request because I had tampered with the product. I had no reason to reinstall the product. I can only guess that I may have put it in my disk drive to be sure it was the same version, but I don;'t remember even doing that. It seems to me that even the people at Amazon might wonder why I would order and install a second copy. I am an Amazon Prime subscriber and order a lot of stuff from Amazon. I am really disappointed in the way I have been treated with this order. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Resource hogger, you can't even type - but OK after adjustment *by Y***Y on February 22, 2013* I bought this one based so many positive reviews. It installed pretty fast and did super fast screening and it even found virus on my system. I was immediately impressed and went ahead and installed on both my son and daughter's computer. A week later, my daughter started complaining her keyboard not working well. I quickly blamed on bad keyboard. Now I am experience bad keyboard as well. I found out that the s/w is hogging resources so much that my keyboard won't even respond. In fact I am having a hard time typing this review. As far as I am concerning this s/w is a virus itself. I had similar issue with McAfee and now this. I would give a -5 rating if I could.Update 2/28/13 - I went into options setting and select everything that utilizes minimal CPU resource, the trade off is longer time to scan - which I am OK with it. I even shut off the daily system scan and manually execute when my computer idling. I also took the advice by the Wedroot below and now my computer is back to normal. Sweet!I will change my rating to 3 stars.
