Everytime I've been able to consistently hear what it was I was trying to listen to. Inside the box includes extra ear pieces, a clip on name plate, and an adult bell diaphragm replacement. There isn't much i don't like but one complaint is the ease in which the adult and pediatric bell can be rotated. Often I'll go to listen and have to make a quick change which isn't terrible but a subtle inconvenience. HOWEVER after saying that one does have to ask if your using it for any special medical purpose other than to listen to breath sounds, basic heart sounds, inter abdominal functioning, blood pressure. Just as there are some special things you would want a stethoscope to have if are a cardiologist and need a stethoscope to give you better sounds and picking up high and low frequencies, or if working with pregnant women and need one that is more sensitive for inter- abdominal listening there are some specialty needs that vet processes have of some that are made a bit differently.
