I ended up buying this grip because I've had many experiences with Smallrig and the fact this also came with a red shutter button so I didn't have to look elsewhere for one. Anyways, the thumb grip feels and looks high quality. It is comfortable and makes shooting the X100VI a better experience because of it. I also liked the fact that anywhere that touches the camera body is soft padded. See images. That's attention to detail. As for the shutter button, it has a rubber ring on it preinstalled and the color looks great. The red isn't glossy, more understated and looks great to me. I might end up switching the other red buttons I have to this. One complaint I do have is the branding on the grip. Maybe if it was smaller print and less eye catching.
