The lids are clear plastic and they keep the spices separate. I like that they all have the spice names on them, but if you have different spices it wouldn’t really matter. I read some reviews that they didn’t think the lids were sturdy? Mine are. They are thick-ish plastic. I have a few spices in other containers because they are too big to fit or I have a lot of.
