However, looks can be deceiving. I've exchanged this clock once already and now the replacement is acting up. First of all, the second hand gets stuck and you have to tap it to get it going again. I've replaced the batteries twice in the past 3 weeks. As for telling time, it is very difficult to read. Having said all that, I decided to keep it anyway because I really like the way it looks and I can tell time as long as I'm close enough to it.Maybe I got duds and my luck wasn't good with this product. I don't know. Still, it's a beautiful clock and it came well packaged. If I had to do all over again with what I know now, I wouldn't purchase it. You're taking your chances. Alas mine didn't. Until it stopped working I was quite pleased with this clock. It fits in well with my other chicken decor in my country house kitchen, it kept good time and I really like the fact that it has a seconds hand. We plan to purchase a new movement kit. I hope it will last longer than 10 months. Since I wrote this review the clock has begun to run again. We're don't know why but a pleased that it is working. It wasn't the battery because we had put a brand new one in and it ran for a time and stopped. So glad it is working again. Probably would buy another from the same seller. ### ⭐ Very disappointing *by A***F on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2019* What I disliked was the fact that you had to assemble it. You have to attach the hands, bend them this way or that to make them fit and clear each other. I've never had to do that with a clock before. The directions seem like they were written by a 5 year old, seriously. Misspellings, bad grammar, etc. And you cannot use an alkaline battery, something about burning the motor out. You could only use regular or heavy duty batteries.
