I generally prefer it to be spicier. (If this brand sells a spicier version, I’ve not seen it) But, I’ve tried several other brands, and the flavor just didn’t compare. The sesame oil adds a distinct umami that mixes well with the garlic, chili pepper, and other ingredients. To add to that, the garlic stays slightly crispy in the oil. So, I buy it and just add a little sriracha sauce. It ups the spiciness without compromising the flavor.Having said that, I use it without adding sriracha too, it just depends on what I’m using it for.
