The red and blue are especially bad - I tried with the included eraser, the erasers on the pens, dry towels wet towels...Otherwise, it is great. It replaced the one I had for 10 years and I wanted to make sure I got one that will last for another 10. This calendar is flat and the magnets are very strong! I don't have to worry about this slipping or falling when someone shuts the fridge too hard. This calendar has lots of space for all of the family activities, colors for each family member and lots of space for extra reminders or last minute schedule changes. I seriously love this board. Now we all know what is happening and who needs to be where thanks to this calendar. Minus one star because it comes out of the box crinkled and wrinkly looking, but when you place it on the surface of wherever you wish to put it it smoothes out. Takes a couple days to completely flatten.As other reviewers state, the markers do appear to come dry, but it's really just the ink not settled to the top of the marker. Kind of annoying, but all you have to do is put it on your fridge with the tip facing down and the marker will work after a few days.
