Review: Reasons I was disappointed with this item. - This coffee pot was very disappointing! The knob on the lid fell off after just a few times using it. Also the basket for the coffee was not deep enough to hold the coffee grounds so they often spilled over into the finished coffee. And the spring on the center post was not fastened on so it came off every time the coffee pot was washed. Also, the light on the pot was green as it was brewing and then turned red when the coffee was done-which is the opposite of the way it should be. I would not recommend purchasing this item.

Used now almost daily for 8 months and pleased with the coffee and how the unit operates. After the coffee is brewed, I pour it into a carafe and unplug the coffee maker. I am hoping this will extend the life of the unit. My last coffee maker quit on me too soon. We'll see about this one.
