Review: Used in enclosure - Perfect and as expected. I got this pcie 3x4 SSD because it was intended for an external enclosure maxing out at 10 Gbps, so I skipped over 4x4 drives and saved some cash. Even better value as prime day buy. Right now, I'm getting a transfer speed of about 320 Megabytes a second in a 15-year-old laptop or so with a 1TB sata SSD. No complaints. This came with an extra screw and optional heat dissipation pads and a screwdriver. Great for newbs, but I didn't need them. Drive is lightly warm after 10 mins, but it's a metal enclosure. Got cool pretty quick after transfer finished, so great build quality.

Perfect and as expected. I got this pcie 3x4 SSD because it was intended for an external enclosure maxing out at 10 Gbps, so I skipped over 4x4 drives and saved some cash. Even better value as prime day buy. Right now, I'm getting a transfer speed of about 320 Megabytes a second in a 15-year-old laptop or so with a 1TB sata SSD. No complaints. This came with an extra screw and optional heat dissipation pads and a screwdriver. Great for newbs, but I didn't need them. Drive is lightly warm after 10 mins, but it's a metal enclosure. Great SSD. As described. Speed as described —-initially. While transferring around 860 GB it got pretty warm; almost hot to the touch, and transfer speed slowed down significantly. Initially about 400 GBps to around 40 GBps when hot. This was transfer from another SSD, so speed includes read speed from onE and write speed to this ORICO SSD using USB C 3 interface. 2TB storage is good for price. Installation in interface was simple and easy.
