I had previously bought a Plano brand “hard” rifle case... similar price but 42”... so I could fit my Air Arms S410f carbine with moderator into it. It was DIRE ! I’ve seen sturdier plastic milk cartons!! So I returned it within half an hour of delivery... and had to find another rifle case. I liked the look of this Nuprol case and the reviews were very promising.. only problem is it’s shorter than my rifle with moderator fitted. I decided it’s no big deal to unscrew the 1/2” moderator to fit the rifle into the nuprol case so ordered one. It arrived three days early! First thing I noticed was the weight, the nuprol felt double the weight of the Plano case... then the reinforced construction... Then the excellent hinged handles... then the recessed wheels for easy transport on smooth surfaces... The biggest thing that convinced me I’ve made right choice was when I unlatched the four locking catches...absolute quality and solid feeling Opening the case revealed two layers of egg-box type grey foam, a good thickness in the top lid and a humungously thick bottom layer The case is firm, doesn’t flex badly, and made of very thick plastic I put my rifle in there and it closed with a little resistance as foam enveloped the rifle. All four catches clunked into place easily. Reminded me of closing a high-end car door :-D I decided to flip the lower foam and draw around my rifle onto it, then used a Stanley knife to carefully cut around the line... then cut the foam I was removing in a checker pattern to create ‘pick and pluck’ foam... Plucked out the foam pieces within the shape of the rifle and now it is recessed into the thick foam... PERFECT and looks very cool But I also have the option of flipping the foam back to the egg carton side for my other rifles. Ideal ! All in all, this is a purchase that I am absolutely blown away by. The quality is FANTASTIC Just buy one !!!! Review: Well worth the cost - This thing is huge, it's going to fit any RIF you have. Full of egg shell foam to keep everything safe. Very sturdy and strong. If you need a hard case like this, I would definitely recommend, well worth the cost. The internal dimensions of the case are in the description, so you can measure up and check. **Q: What type of foam is in the case ? Pluck foam or full eggshell?** A: The layer in the top half is eggshell with 2 layers of pluck foam in the bottom. **Q: How many layers of foam does this come with? Would it be able to fit possibly two small m4 platform guns both at 59cm. Also mags and possibly a pistol** A: It has 2 layer, both 3cm thick plus the textured foam on the roof of the case. In regards to fitting to m4's in it I doubt it. If theyre 59cm long each then even with done careful placement I dont think you'd manage it.
