Part of achieving good adhesion between coating and surface is ensuring the surface is clean and free from contaminants, which can otherwise reduce the adhesion performance and lead to flaking and cracking. These tack cloths are superb at doing just that: they're impregnated with a special lightly tacky resin that efficiently picks up any loose dust, lint, dirt and other debris that's often not visible to the naked eye. They're ideally used after sanding painted and bare wood surfaces and in other situations where dust needs to be cleared without using water. No heavy duty scrubbing is required - tack cloths are highly effective after one or two light wipes and unlike dusters or standard cleaning cloths, they don't return any dust to the surface, they remove it and hold on to it. Each cloth measures 30” x 16” (76cm x 41cm) approx. so has plenty of capacity for even large areas. They leave no surface tack or residue after application and each cloth is individually foil sealed for freshness, giving you plenty of time to store unused cloths before using them. Handy hint : for situations where there is heavy dust such as plaster dust, it may be advisable to use a damp cloth first to remove the majority of the visible dust and let the surface dry before using a tack cloth. Abrasive solutions from ProDec From sanding to cleaning, ProDec has a range of products to help you prepare the perfect surface. Aluminium oxide The abrasive paper of choice used by trade professionals in preference to sandpaper. The aluminium oxide grains are more durable, have a self-sharpening action and clog less, giving high performance sanding that outlasts sandpaper by up to 10 times. ProFlex ProFlex takes aluminium oxide to the next level, replacing the standard backing paper with an ultra-flexible, crack-resistant cotton cloth, giving outstanding performance with curved and profiled surfaces by moulding effortlessly to match their shape for fast, efficient sanding. Sanding Mesh Sanding Mesh has a hi-tech mesh construction to prevent blockage, which allows sanding dust to escape through the mesh rather than clogging it. The mesh is coated on both sides with durable glass fibre and aluminium oxide abrasive, so when one side is finally spent you can simply turn it over and use the other side. It all adds up to a longer working life and faster, more efficient sanding than traditional sandpaper. Finishing Paper Fine finish abrasive paper that provides a smooth surface between coats of paint or varnish, giving the ideal substrate key for optimum adhesion. Uniformly sized grit particles eliminate sanding scratches for a perfect finish. Sanding heads Ideal for sanding larger areas such as whole walls, ceiling or floors to prepare before decorating, ProDec has sanding heads for use by hand or with an extension pole that are compatible with all types and grades of abrasive paper.
