Looks incredibly beautiful and I think does purify the air around a small room. Has a nice peaceful glow to it at night. What I love about it is the base. Not like the metal ones that you get from Bed Bath and Beyond. Which I've had one of their metal salt lamp night lights. And the salt, depending on the area that you live in, will get a little damp from humidity. And that is not great mixed with a metal base, where the water leaks right into where the light is plugged into. So this is way different from that and so much better with the plastic base. The glass part came well packaged and no breakage. So again, very happy with the purchase and my friend loves it.
