I bought these patches to reinforce seams I had repaired using ladder stich. Worked perfectly to maintain ladder stich invisible finish and to prevent any stretching or strain in the area of the repair. Gave jeans a second lease of life.
Review: Decent patches - These jean patches are pretty good for repairing minor damage to jeans. They are easy enough to use with the iron on method and adhesion is reliable, though they will stick better to smoother areas of the jeans. They didn't work well to fix some holes that appeared around the crotch unfortunately! but for patching over holes on the legs they were good and you can cut them down to the size you need. They blend in quite well - there is a decent mix of shades in here though so you should be able to find a close match for your own needs. I'd say these are good value for the price as they're decent quality and are a reliable and fairly quick fix.

Front side of the patches is 100% cotton, rear side is covered with the strongest hot-melt adhesive film. Patches made in EU using high quality materials.
- 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆: It will take only a few minutes to repair or decorate your jeans, as only an iron is required. Preheat your iron to the maximum, then place the patch on the desired spot and iron over the patch with pressure for 60 seconds. You don’t have to sew patch on or use further fabric glue, hot-melt adhesive film on each patch is very durable by itself. CAUTION: Do not apply patches using hair straighteners or other heating objects, only use an iron.
- 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 & 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: You can place the patches on the outside of a garment. Use scissors or die-cut machine to cut the patches to the size or shape you want. You can also apply patches from the inside of a garment, this way the shiny rear side of the patch shows through the hole. After a couple of washes, the shiny glue will disappear and it will look like normal fabric.
- 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: Applied patches are washable at high temperature; they can also be tumble dried on a high temperature setting. Even if applied patch starts to peel off after some time, simply re-iron the patch again. One patch can be re-ironed at least 3 times, even after washing. To prevent the felting off and curling up, pay special attention to the corners, butt areas and seams when applying the patches.
- 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿: Repair crotch areas, knees, elbows, pockets etc. when it already has tears marks, or use the patches to prevent future problems. **Q: Can you use these to reenforce the crotch of jeans before a hole appears?**
A: Yes any where on your jeans.
And it is a iron on patch.

**Q: If you use these on the inside of the jeans, doesn’t it end up with sticky stuff showing through the hole?**
A: I used them on the inside of a pair of levis to mend a rip so not really a hole but no problem at all. Don’t leave the iron pressure on too long. 60 seconds only.

A: Yes, I ironed them on the inside of a pair of jeans. Can hardly tell there’s a patch there at all

**Q: The hole is quite open and I wondered when I iron it on the front will the adhesive patch stick ok as material is missing. Hope that makes sense.**
A: Yes, it will work, I used them for this too. You can either iron the patch over the hole from the outside (so all you see s a patch) or from the inside (so you see a hole with a patch behind it) (which is what I did)

These jean patches are pretty good for repairing minor damage to jeans. These are great patches and work well, they are a little thinner that I thought they would be but actually this is better as they are not bulky. They stick really well after many washes!
