It is as what is described. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good, basic lenses *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2012* My Oakley Inmates are the chrome ones with semi-mirrored non-polarized iridium lenses. The Oakley lenses were great, but over time they do scratch and since scratches are noticeable on mirrored lenses, I needed to get a replacement.As far as I can tell, Walleva are the only place which even makes replacement lenses for Oakley's Inmate models - Oakley didn't seem to have any - so they are the only game in town.I ordered the polarized lenses since I do spend a bit of time outside, paid my money and hoped for the best. The lenses came well-packed in a little box along with a cleaning cloth. After I eventually figured out how to pop out the Oakley lenses without destroying them I installed the new pair. I wouldn't say they are quite as "optically correct" as Oakleys, but they are great to look through - very little if any distortion, and the polarization of course makes them very useful in bright, sunlit areas especially around water. They fit perfectly and make the glasses the equivalent of Oakley's polarized Inmates but at a fraction of the cost.They saved me from having to buy new glasses - highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Do not fit out of the box - can try to bend frame *by H***H on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2021* The Oakley Inmates are classic sunglasses that Oakley stopped producing some time ago. They made an appearance in 'The Book of Eli' when Denzel Washington's character sported them throughout the film. People are trying to hock these ~$150 (new) shades on eBay for $300 (used), so obviously finding any replacement parts for sunglasses manufactured 10 years ago are going to be a fool's errand. These Walleva lenses are an errand for a fool, to be sure, sadly though I think its the only option available, and for $20 I suppose it was worth a try, hence the 3 stars given that so few companies are even trying to offer these. A quick couple notes/warnings:1.) The lenses are not the same design as the OEM lenses, as you can see in the images - Oakley's utilize a lip/ridge to sit in the frame, and it makes them extremely secure, as you will find out when trying to remove them. Try to lift up a bit around the edge of the top/center of each lens section of the frame, and push from the inside out. These replacements are designed to basically just try to sit in the frame using the outside edges of the lens and I guess rely on being thin enough to fit in the channel. Because your frame shape may not match the lens shape exactly, because there are no ridges that will actually lock the lens into the frame channel, and because both are relatively rigid structures, the lenses will keep popping out if they are even slightly out of alignment. Largely because the lenses are only ever-so-slightly larger than the circumference of the lens opening, so there's not a lot to hold them in place. In my attempts, one lens fit in relatively securely, the other was out of alignment and constantly falling out with a slight breeze.2.) The lenses are not really close in quality, the thickness displayed in the pic is only an example of that, but there are many others, to include optical clarity, smudge resistance, darkness of the lenses, etc. Because the fit is poor, you may find yourself having to put the lens back in frequently which leads to more smudges and cleaning the lenses which leads to them popping out more. Vicious cycle.My fix so far is to bend the frame a bit to match the shape of the lens - I might try superglue since there's really nothing to lose at this point and the OEMs are too scratched up to be usable.
