Review: Disappointed... - Pros: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Volume knob. Inexpensive. Cons: FM without RDS. Sluggish touch screen. Cannot listen to radio (or anything) when CarPlay is activated, so the only way to listen to anything during CarPlay (when using maps for example) is to use an app on your phone. Conclusion: really disappointed with this unit. I had high expectations knowing the reputable brand, but some missing features turned it into a radio that will be used for sometime until replaced with something better.

Suncoast Porsche will charge you $1,200 for a new unit. Granted, the Suncoast part will look like a factory unit...but for a $1000 less, this was a good option. And lest not forget Blaupunkt was the original equipment used in Porsches for a long time.

Pros: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Volume knob. Inexpensive. Cons: FM without RDS. Sluggish touch screen. Cannot listen to radio (or anything) when CarPlay is activated, so the only way to listen to anything during CarPlay (when using maps for example) is to use an app on your phone. Conclusion: really disappointed with this unit. I had high expectations knowing the reputable brand, but some missing features turned it into a radio that will be used for sometime until replaced with something better.

I'm impressed so far. I purchase this head unit for my 2005 Porsche 911. So far I'm really pleased. Its a great option to consider if replacing the head unit in a 911. And lest not forget Blaupunkt was the original equipment used in Porsches for a long time.

Terrible FM/ AM radio reception. Note you can not use GPS while playing USB or SD. I think is standard on these units.
