I even asked the community if the oil would go through the bonnet. The only person answering my question said, "No." Obviously, that person was hypothesizing No, rather than knowing for herself. The oil does go through the fabric. Also, the bonnet is super large. there is a ribbon attached that allows you to make the bonnet about 2 inches smaller, but even with that it it still too large. I wear a size 7 hat, pretty average for a woman, and my head swims in this bonnet.
