I'm a fan of a slow burning romance. They can be tricky to write as the build up is that much bigger and sometimes the reader can be left disappointed. I loved that the story was spread out over 18 or so years. I love how I loved both main characters even though they were massively different people. When I first started reading, I couldn't think how these two characters could come to like each other but as the story develops you see what it is they like about each other and have noticed about each other over the years. I read and read, I could not put it down until they got together. Once they got together I was waiting for the typical romance fall out and get back together again and was ready to skip a few pages, but it didn't happen, it ended just at the right time.
