His older brother plays chess so he wanted to play something else. Using the adage, anything will do to learn on, once you've learned get a good one, I was drawn to this every time I opened the Amazon site it's just that bit different. Heavy enough to survive rough play. I like it myself and I have an idea he will be able to teach his Grandchhildren, what he calls "Coin Chess" . When he gets fed up of spending too much time on the bar, he and his Dad flip it over and play draught with the counters.
