Weighing only 16 pounds, it features a 14-inch chain and can make up to 190 cuts in 4x4 cedar, all while maintaining low noise levels and requiring minimal maintenance. ## Description Landscapers and contractors are demanding more cordless alternatives to gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Makita is meeting demand with an expanding line of cordless OPE, including the 36V (18V X2) LXT® Brushless Chain Saw Kit (model XCU03PT). With zero emissions, lower noise, and considerably less maintenance, the XCU03PT is a welcome solution for cutting and trimming applications. It’s powered by two 18V LXT® batteries for 36V power and run time, but without leaving the strongly-preferred 18V battery platform. And with the efficient Makita outer rotor brushless motor with direct drive system, users get high power efficiency that is equivalent to a gas chain saw. The XCU03PT has a 14” guide bar and the Makita-built motor with variable speed delivers 0-3,940 FPM for increased cutting speed, but with less noise (only 100dB(A)). It has zero emissions and reduced maintenance: there's no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace, and no air filter or muffler to clean. And there's no need to drain the fuel for storage. Simply pick it up, load two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries, and the saw is ready to use. Convenience features include a "tool-less" chain adjustments, a front hand guard engineered to actuate chain brake when engaged, an electric brake for maximum productivity, and more. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT® and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside. ## Features - No gas, emissions, oil mixing or pull starts with reduced maintenance and low noise levels - Makita-built Outer Rotor BL Brushless Motor direct-drive system delivers power of a 32cc gas chain saw - Two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries deliver 36V power and performance without leaving the 18V LXT platform - Up to 190 cuts in 4 x 4 cedar with two 18V LXT 5.0Ah batteries - "Tool-less" chain adjustment for convenient operation and maintenance ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Brand | Makita | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Horsepower | 3.2 hp | | Item Weight | 16 Pounds | | Product Dimensions | 53.3L x 22.9W x 26.7H Centimeters | | Chain Length | 14 Inches | | Chain Speed | 3,940 FPM | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00088381838917 | | Manufacturer | Makita | | UPC | 088381838917 | | Item model number | XCU03PT | | ASIN | B01MTCOE0I | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Makita - **Power Source:** Battery Powered - **Horsepower:** 3.2 hp - **Item Weight:** 16 Pounds - **Product Dimensions:** 53.3L x 22.9W x 26.7H Centimeters - **Chain Length:** 14 Inches - **Chain Speed:** 3,940 FPM - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00088381838917 - **Manufacturer:** Makita - **UPC:** 088381838917 ## Images ![Makita XCU03PT 18V X2 (36V) LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless (5.0Ah) 14" Chain Saw Kit, Teal - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71a07ynjWcL.jpg) ![Makita XCU03PT 18V X2 (36V) LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless (5.0Ah) 14" Chain Saw Kit, Teal - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Dtd3Ydv0L.jpg) ![Makita XCU03PT 18V X2 (36V) LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless (5.0Ah) 14" Chain Saw Kit, Teal - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Msqks+X0L.jpg) ![Makita XCU03PT 18V X2 (36V) LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless (5.0Ah) 14" Chain Saw Kit, Teal - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/612juTKH+ZL.jpg) ![Makita XCU03PT 18V X2 (36V) LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless (5.0Ah) 14" Chain Saw Kit, Teal - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/718a5xndjxL.jpg) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/621412536-makita-xcu03pt-18v-x2-36v-lxt-lithium-ion-brushless-cordless](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/621412536-makita-xcu03pt-18v-x2-36v-lxt-lithium-ion-brushless-cordless) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
