Based on that short experience, it is a very comfortable shoe. Looking forward to getting a replacement in the right size. This pair was 1/2 to 1 full size too small, so I had to return them.I have quite a few Altra Zero Drop shoes, which I use both for racewalking and for just walking around in. Love the zero drop heels and the huge toe boxes. Great for my feet. But Altra's sizing control is awful. I normally wear a size 13 in most shoes. In Altras, I wear either a 13 or a 14, depending on the shoe. I have 13's from them that fit perfectly. I also have 3 pairs from them in which I had to buy 14's. This pair that I bought from Amazon and got today -- size 13 but my big toe was touching the end. The pair of Altra Torins I was wearing when I brought the new ones in the door are also 13's, but my big toe is a full inch away from the end. Go figure why Altra cannot get this sizing thing right.Other than that hassle, Altras are great shoes and I have no reason to believe this one will be an exception to that rule, once I get a pair that fits me.Update: Ordered a replacement pair of 14's. This time, way too big. Still soft and comfy but way too sloppy. Figure a 13.5 would have been close enough, but they don't make that size. So I sent this pair back, as well. Therefore, based on my experience, I'd say, for this shoe, order a half-size larger than usual. ### ⭐ Buyer beware *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2016* Buyer beware! Despite these shoes being the most comfortable and best shoes I've found to wear for my profession (I'm on my feet 12 plus hours a day) I cannot recommend anyone buying these. I have only had these shoes for about 2 months and have worn them strictly for work (indoors) on carpet and have taken great care of them. Just now the "leather" skin began peeling away and basically now the shoes are ruined. I cannot wear these for work any longer since it is unacceptable due to appearance. This skin as I'm calling it is super thin and bubbled up and began separating from the shoe. Never experienced anything like this before and very frustrated because as I said the fit and feel are spot on. Keep looking, seriously. ### ⭐⭐ Alta needs to get better quality for the fabic *by Q***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2016* Compared to regular shoes, these are at least 4 stars for comfort. Alta needs to get better quality for the fabic, which does NOT hold up. I sold black mesh like their tennis shoes would work. Also, Need women's wide sizes or Men's 7 1/2. Comfort is there and I walk on hard, cement, retail floors all day. These shoes do not hold up. The top leather-look junk tears and peels and does not breathe. That being said, when I can get them for around $40 I buy a few pairs, because I have to have black shoes and I have not found anthing as comfortable. I have been an Altra user since the beginning, not because I am a runner, but because I love how the shoes feel on my feet for walking. For general everyday shoes one cannot beat the Torin for walking around a mall or fishing. The Altra's need a more slip resistant outsole, too. Still I will buy nothing else.
