In my freezer it cools to a malleable semi solid state in about 4 hours. Performs well to cool the elbow area. Its a bit bigger than others I've seen/tried and contains more gel. I keep it on for about 1.5hours at a time. Its very useful to have the instructions printed directly onto the pack itself. No sign of the lettering fading or coming off as yet. The plastic material holding the gel seems OK and has caused no problems even though its a bit crinckley. I bought 2 "Blue Dot" hot/cold packs at the same time, both very good. The Dynamik ones are a bit bigger and with more gel but the gel containment bag of the Blue Dot ones seem more robust. Overall a very good product and excellent value. Why would anyone pay more?
