Review: It’s PERFECT! - My oldest kitty, Donut, was recently diagnosed with urinary crystals and requires to be on prescription food that other kitty, Mabel, cannot be on. He is also not allowed to eat her food to try and keep everything under control. Feeding them at certain times was difficult to do as Mabel is a big foodie, and if Donut didn’t eat all of his food, she would eat it all. So after much research on the many different covered automatic feeders, I decided on purchasing two of this one. It is a bit expensive but absolutely worth the price, and the kitties took up to it immediately! The setup isn’t too hard as long as you follow along with the booklet they provide, then the PETLIBRO app does the rest. Very simple and easy to set up. What I like about it is that it only opens for the specific cat whose tag you register to it. Mabel did try to bite her way into Donuts bowl, but was unsuccessful thankfully. That proves how durable it is!!! I also like that you can set up meal times to automatically dispense at a certain time at a certain amount. If you free feed, this is still possible to do per pet if you just keep track of how much food has been eaten and just refill when it gets low. You can set dispensing schedules by day and time and if you prefer for the kitties to get fed a certain amount 3 days a week and differently the other 4 days, you can absolutely easily set it up that way. The ability to also put batteries into the feeders to allow it to work in case of a power outage is a lifesaver!! If you have a kitty that is also food crazy, you can adjust the cover closing times and speed to try and help ensure that the other kitty does not steal food. I’ve also placed the feeders in different rooms to avoid this. While there are a lot of pros, there are a few cons but it isn’t necessarily a deal breaker for the overall feeder. If you schedule meal times, if the kitty hasn’t eaten the full amount, it will obviously pile onto the food in the bowl already. If your kitty isn’t much of an eater, the food will pile up and cause the dispenser to get blocked. It’s easy to fix, as I usually just open the cover in the app and use my finger to pull the blocked food down. For my kitty who doesn’t eat a ton, I have turned off scheduled feeding to avoid this from happening and just refill when it gets low. This isn’t a deal breaker whatsoever as he is still getting the food he needs! When setting up, the feeder also does talk, which may be startling for some skittish kitties. Luckily, my kitties were not fazed by it; although, I did completely turn down the voice as soon as I could to avoid them getting scared if it did talk for any reason. Lastly, the last con is the often changing and cost of the desiccant bags; although, there are alternatives that you can find online and use in place of the PETLIBRO branded bags that work just as good. Review: Great Product When Multiple Cats Must Have Different Food! - Our older cat developed mild chronic kidney disease, so we needed to feed her prescription dry and wet food, whereas our younger cat needed to be fed her regular non-prescription food. We had to prevent the two cats from stealing each other's food. We got a 2-pack of this product, one feeder for each cat. The product has performed flawlessly. I recommend it without hesitation. Each cat can eat only their intended food. Although nominally the product is a kibble dispenser, we found that we can also place canned food in it by manually opening the door (there are buttons on the front for that, or else one can use the phone app) and putting the food in the stainless steel bowl. So, the product allows us to be sure that each cat gets only its intended dry and wet food. Really a great product. Pros: - RFID chips attach to collars easily, and are not obtrusive for the cats. - Stainless steel bowl easy to remove for cleaning. - Ability to manually open door. - Wifi connected, phone app to monitor eating habits, and manually open door. - Product contains an optical sensor and will alert when kibble food is low. - Food reservoir is well sealed and has a compartment for desiccant to keep food fresh. Cons: - Dispenser firmware was slightly unstable during the setup process (had to reset it a couple of times), but after initial setup has performed flawlessly. - Have not quite figured out how to remove the antenna lower platform from the rest of the feeder once assembled ... not intuitive ... will probably end up being very gentle and using plastic shims to do this for thorough cleaning. - Food door also not intuitive to remove for cleaning once assembled.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well!

I bought two as I have two cats - a 10 year old and six month old - that are on two different foods. These work very well, and both cats immediately took to them. They are a little large but they do so much. I took the side panels off, though, and just set the lids to close faster and it seems to do the trick. My kitten has pawed at the other cat's lid but it stays pretty securely in place and doesnt let him in. It was incredibly easy to set up, both out of packaging and with the app. The lids opening and closing are fairly quiet, and I shut off the meal call. The loudest part of the whole thing is when the food drops into the bowl. I took the RFID tags off the collars and put them on the collars they already have - its nice they include a key ring to be able to do this. The food capacity is awesome - it says it holds enough for 2 weeks but depending on how often you feed your cats and how much, it could be much longer. You can set schedules in the app that automatically dispenses food, and can adjust the schedule easily, or just do a manual "feed now" option. My biggest complaint - which actually is kind of a benefit as well - is that this slowed my cats eating down fairly considerably - they're not always begging for food anymore or running to the machine when it drops food because the bowl always has food in it. However, because of that slow down, the outlet often gets blocked as the new food coming down doesn't have anywhere to go. I'm constantly adjusting the schedule and having to clear the blockage (easy - just open the lid and brush the food out of it). I really just need to change their feeding schedules to fix the issue but I've been lazy about it. It also measures in 12ths, and it seems to throw out much more food than we normally used to give our cats, even if I adjusted it to a quarter cup or less. But that's not a terrible thing for us since our cats don't eat it all in one sitting. All in all - I'm very happy with these. The bulky design is forgiven for all that it does, letting us be a bit more hands off with the dry food part of their diet. I believe these are worth the money and would absolutely buy again if needed. *My cats eat Hills Science Diet Adult Indoor, kitten is eating 1-6, 10 year old eating 7+, both come through the feeder easily.
