**Q: How long is it?**
A: It is 3-1/2"  long.

**Q: will it withstand the pressure created a water well, plus 50 lbs? it will to connect 1 1/4 " pvc pipes**
A: No it will not.  This is a DWV (drain, waste, vent) coupling.  It is pressure tested and certified to 4.3 pounds per square inch.  The inside diameter is 1.94 inches, which fits the outside diameter of size 1-1/2 inch iron pipe or schedule 40 PVC pipe when the stainless steel worm gear clamps are tightened.  Outer diameter of 1-1/2 inch ips (iron pipe size) pipe is standardized to 1.9 inches in diameter.  Whether it is galvanized steel or PVC does not matter.  Their outside diameters are the same.

**Q: Does it come with any embossed writing on the coupling or stickers of any kind?**
A: Yes there is embossed writing on the rubber portion, no stickers.

**Q: It looks really heavy duty.  Will it last a long time in a cold weather such as Alaska?**
A: It has lasted over 2 years in NC holding the 2 ends of a market umbrella together

I used this for my sump pump pipes. They were originally hard piped all the way through the lid into the pump pit. This meant when I needed to get access to pit or service the pump I could only lift lid 6 inches unless I cut the pipe apart. Using these allowed me to pull pipe apart quickly and fully access the pit then quickly reattach when finished. Work perfectly.
