Fiebings Professional Oil Dye offers a superior colorfast formula that adds the perfect rich color to natural strap and veg tanned leathers. The preferred choice of professionals, this dye offers excellent coverage and even drying. This alcohol-based dye penetrates leather for the best possible coverage. Chocolate dye comes in a 4 ounce bottle.

Review: Deep black coloring to restore worn out black leather - seems great on first use - I do not know how long this dye will last on my leather shift knob (how durable it is), but my first impression is that it is really easy to apply and creates a much deeper black color on the leather than other leather restorers I have tried. You can see a comparison between the before and after photos I've included with my review. I used a small brush to brush on the dye, rubbed it in with a soft clothe, and let it dry for 5 minutes before reapplying a second coating. After applying the 2nd coating, I buffed the leather with a clean, soft microfiber towel so everything looked as even as possible. I made sure to remove any wet spots and left the leather to dry overnight before using. Hopefully, the dye is durable enough to last for a few years or at least not to rub off on my hands or clothing. If it disappoints me, I will come back to revise my rating.

It would have been very convenient if there had been an applicator attached to the cap though. I used a gauze pad to apply it. Do not get this stuff on your hands as it's hard to get off. Use a disposable glove. This dye is a very good dye and I recommend it.

Great dye for a faded steering wheel. Used the deglazer, dye and balm together to get a good outcome. 4 coats of dye and two coats of balm, then buff.
