Very soft material that is thick enough to offer compression and smooth out lumps (so important!), but stretchy enough to be ultra comfortable. The high waist doesn't dig in- even when sitting or bending over, and it doesn't roll down like a lot of high waists do. And I've had 4 kids, so my stomach is less than perfect! I love the moto detailing- makes these cool enough to wear with an outfit rather than simply to exercise in. Way more comfortable than the goddess leggings in my opinion. Absolutely my new favorites and I will be buying more. My only complaint is that they don't have a cell phone pocket on the thigh like my lululemons do.For the record, I'm 5'7" and 160lbs. I wear size 8 lulus, and the Large fit perfectly ### ⭐ TOTAL Disappointment *by A***R on March 17, 2017* I purchased these leggings the last week in December and instantly fell in love- great fit, great design, extreme comfort, etc. However, after the second wash I noticed a significant change in the quality. They started pilling A LOT - the material became like Velcro - everything sticks to it! I can't even wear them anymore!I have a ton of workout gear and yoga pants - everything from lululemon and Sweaty Betty to reebok and other brands that I've paid $10 for - I wash everything inside out on hand wash in my brand new washer machine - and have NEVER encountered something like this!I actually didn't even wear them for workouts or yoga rather lightly running errands. For the price I think it's absolutely ridiculous that these pants fell apart in such a short period of time!
