This darbuka is actually more than is advertised in that it comes with an installed drum head and a spare head in addition (plus a bag and an Allen wrench for tuning and head replacement).  It is also 12" in diameter which is 2" larger than the 10" diameter listed, and it is a full 19" high when standing on the floor.The finish seems to be a good quality glossy black enamel that has been nicely engraved with a rotary tool. The body of the drum appears to be spin-formed aluminum with a die-cast upper and lower support ring (though the whole thing may be die cast or die cast and welded, I can't be sure) but the outside looks nice and the inside is clean without cracks and just a few machine marks.  It is big (with a 9.75" drum head and 12" outside diameter at the head) which would be difficult for a small person to handle, but It sounds good to my amateur ear and should be adequate for learning the basics.
