They are tightish in your correct size, but if gotten 2 sizes larger than your normal size this allows sufficient roominess for good air circulation and great cooling. As these are culturally African,I belive that is what was intended. Pure cotton and woven instead of a knit blend, they are way way more comfortable than Summer tees. No buttons to pull out, or be stymied by if arthritic. V neck makes it easy to put on overhead. Get the type with the two pockets near the bottom:,very convenient. The colors are brilliant and patterns intriguing. More fun and comfortable than even the high end Hawaiian shirts,especially the Rayon ones. And no buttons to pop. I have gotten lots of compliments on them which is shocking. My style is not something that people usually notice, sort of early 14th Century Benedictine. Deserves 6 stars.
